The Wheelhouse
Dealivo is an adult chat game set on an invented riverboat. Sixteen AI dealers and crew open each chat with a small wager, the loser tells a truth, and no money changes hands.
What this is
We invented 16 women who work a paddle steamer on an imaginary river, from a poker dealer to a captain to a magician, and gave each a handful of written wagers. You turn a dial, take a bet or fold, and she carries on from there. We chose a game over a greeting because a game gives a stranger something to do, and the first ten minutes of any chat are the hardest.
About the name
Deal, dealer, boat: every word in the address points at a casino, and this is not one. No coin, chip or odds is shown, and nothing is staked. A wager here is a bet made of words, and the prize is a truth. The front page and every list say so, to spare you the surprise.
What this site will not do
- Take a stake of money, or display odds or a prize.
- Press anyone to accept a dare, at any position of the dial.
- Confuse a character with a human, or the reverse, on purpose.
- Hand your chats to anyone, for any reason of profit.
- Seat anyone below 18 at a scene, whatever the cover story.
Writing to the purser
A person opens the mailbox listed in the footer. Complaints, corrections and challenges to the house rules all land there, and the last kind get a counter-wager.
